This extensive history has strong relationships with VicRoads, Councils, Roadway Contractors and Emergency Services. LMTS have many long term knowledgeable technicians, electricians and engineers, along with extensive in-house resources which assist them in remaining at the forefront of Traffic Signal and Public Lighting Installation.

LMTS are heavily involved in the Melbourne Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) at several sites across the region. The level crossing removal programme sites operate on extremely tight schedules, minimising interruptions to both road and rail commuters.

Our civil team are fully trained and competent in the installation of underground Traffic Signals and Public Lighting conduit systems and pitting systems to VicRoads specifications. LMTS are also experienced in the construction of pedestrian sites.

LMTS provide trenching, concrete footings and reinstatement works including the planting or replanting of shrubs, trees and bushes.

We have a variety of equipment to get the job done, a 2 tonne excavator, a 3.5 tonne excavator, a fully equipped civil truck, a tipper and compaction equipment. Our experienced sub-contractors can provide horizontal or directional boring, non-destructive digging, asset location and rock drilling/boring if required.  All civil employees and subcontractors are VicRoads experienced in working in and around live traffic environments.

Specific products and services provided by LMTS, include all civil and electrical construction for the full traffic signals upgrade, together with all the associated hardware for each site. LMTS’s highly experienced team of civil and electrical staff are engaged to complete the projects, on time and on budget.

LMTS is constantly introducing new technology including; solar power and radio controlled systems designed to reduce environmental impact.
